49 for the 49

We are VERY excited to launch our first-ever fundraising campaign!

Last year, many European institutions, the European Union, the Council of Europe, the European Court of Human Rights, as well as many NGOs, spoke out, released reports, and shared work about mental health.

One of the most interesting reports came from the Council of the European Union. In it, they discussed many facets of mental health across the EU, specifically this:

What challenges have been completed so far?

“49% of young people across Europe, have no access to mental health support.”

We think this is terrible and that something needs to be done.

At EYMH, we believe the best way to improve mental health support for young people, make it relevant, appropriate and useful to young people, is that it is CO-PRODUCED with young people!

To do this, we need to train and support the right young people across Europe, to enable and empower them to feel confident in getting involved in this way.

Led by our CEO Nick, we aim to complete 49 challenges in 2024, support our work and our participants by donating whatever you can, to contribute to our target.

This funding will pay for us to bring together young people from across Europe to be trained and supported to make positive changes for youth mental health.

What kind of challenges?

  • Some form of physical activity
  • Live streaming event / a weeks worth of streaming events.
  • Mental challenge (eg mindfulness every day for a week, completing a journal every day for a month, colouring in book every day for a month)
  • Something completely random (maybe take a bean bath)
  • Sky dive or other extreme sport
